Wildfires continue burning across southwest Kansas after lightning and dangerous fire weather sparked multiple blazes this week. Thousands of acres have burned in Meade, Seward, and surrounding counties as firefighters from across the region battle the flames. Severe storms swept across northwest Kansas Saturday evening bringing baseball-sized hail, winds up to 88 mph, blowing dust, power outages, and two tornado warnings.
