A multi-talented entertainer, Jim Barber delights audiences with his special skills as a ventriloquist, comedian, actor and singer. His tremendous talent for voices is matched by his ability as a musician – in addition to singing he plays guitar, banjo and drums. He has performed for hundreds of corporate functions and has appeared at nearly 2000 colleges and universities nationwide. He has been featured in major stage productions in Las Vegas, Reno, and the Hamner Barber Theater in Branson. His armed forces U.S.O. tours have taken him across the United States and to fifteen foreign countries. TV & RADIO ARTIST Jim Barber has lent his voice talent to numerous radio commercials and has appeared as a featured artist on many national TV shows including “Late Show with David Letterman”. He co-hosted and produced his own childrens TV show in Minneapolis while earning his bachelor’s degree in speech communications at the University of Minnesota and served as a National co-host of the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. BIO Jim Barber’s magical approach to the art of ventriloquism and his incredible vocal skills have earned him the reputation as one of the most original talents performing today, not only on stage for national corporate events and international resorts but also in the voice-over recording market with his multi-octave singing voice and wide-range of comical characters. Jim and his family reside full-time in Branson, Missouri where he co-stars in his own show, The Hamner Barber Variety Show and has been featured in major production shows with such artists as Glen Campbell, The Osmonds, Tony Orlando, Eddie Rabbitt, Bobby Vinton, The Smothers Brothers and the talented Famous People Players from Toronto, Canada. Branson area residents may also recall Jim from his many appearances in area benefit shows, master of ceremonies for the premier of the Branson area produced film “Gordy,” as well as his selection as a National Co-Host for the Jerry Lewis “Stars Across America” Labor Day Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy along with Eddie Rabbitt, Alan and Merril Osmond.
