Glenda “Jean” (Crabb) Herbel, 83, of Colby, Kansas, passed away on April 1, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Jean was born December 7, 1942, the first anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, to Glenn and Dorothy (Phillips) Crabb and grew up in Colby as a middle child which is probably why she was adaptable and the proverbial peacemaker for her family.

Glennis Jewell (Uhrich) Boyd was born October 29, 1936, to Jacob and Anna Laura (DeLong) Uhrich, at their farmhouse, south of Oakley, in Logan County, KS. She was the youngest of three sisters. Glennis left her life here on earth on March 30, 2026.

Carl F. (Francis) Hanson, Jr. was born January 14, 1928, to Carl F. (Frederick) Hanson and Johannah Susannah (Berndt) Hanson at Mcallister, Kansas. He was baptized on January 29, 1928, and confirmed August 25, 1940, at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church near his home. He attended his early years of education at rural Pleasant Valley School transferring to Winona Public School for high school. He graduated in May 1945.
