Rollover Accident Leads to Fatality in Phillips County

Around halfway through the 10 pm hour on Tuesday, July 14th, a 2013 Chevy Suburban was headed eastbound on K383 Northeast of Long Island.

The driver, 36-year-old Cagal Acua of Long Island, Kansas, drifted towards the North ditch, overcorrected and rolled twice before coming to a stop. Acua was ejected from the vehicle during the rolling of the Suburban.

Acua did succumb to his injuries, passing away on the scene, and was taken to the mortuary. He was not wearing a safety restraint according to the Kansas Highway Patrol - Online Crash Logs.
