Small Wreck Involving Trailer Leaves One Driver Lightly Injured

On Tuesday, July 14th, just after 9:30 am, two vehicles traveling on the same road in Wallace County got into a small fender bender, leaving one of the drivers with light injuries.


A 2018 Chevy Silverado, driven by 78-year-old Gary Allen of Sharon Springs, Kansas, was heading westbound on Gooseberry Road in Wallace County, while a 2007 Kenworth T600, driven by 22-year-old Dalton Mackley of Sharon Springs, Kansas, was headed eastbound on the same road.


Allen struck the trailer and load of Mackley's Kenworth, entered the South ditch and came to a rest in a field. Allen was taken to Greeley County Hospital with suspected minor injuries. Mackley had no suspected injuries.


Both drivers were wearing safety restraints according to the Kansas Highway Patrol - Online Crash Logs.
