Boot Hill Museum Announces Inaugural Unbridled Western Art Show and Sale
Press Release

Boot Hill Museum is proud to announce the inaugural Unbridled Western Art Show and Sale, a new invitational exhibition celebrating the finest contemporary Western artists working today. The exhibition will debut with an opening-night artists' reception and fixed-price art sale of original artworks on Friday, January 15, 2027. Artwork not sold during the reception will remain available for purchase throughout the exhibition, which concludes on February 14, 2027.
“The Unbridled Western Art Show and Sale will bring some of the most accomplished contemporary Western artists to Dodge City while creating a new tradition that celebrates Western art, culture and heritage,” said Boot Hill Museum Executive Director Lyne Johnson. “We are excited to build an event that collectors, artists and visitors from across the country will want to experience each year.”
To ensure the highest artistic standards, Boot Hill Museum has engaged nationally recognized Western art scholar and curator Michael R. Grauer as Art Advisor and Curator for the exhibition. Grauer is widely respected for his expertise in the art, history, and culture of the American West.
A portion of every artwork sold will support Boot Hill Museum's mission to preserve and interpret the history of Dodge City and the American West through exhibits, educational programming and immersive experiences that connect visitors to the region’s rich heritage.
Additional details, including the participating artists and information for the opening reception, will be announced in the coming months. Sponsorship inquiries should be directed to Carson Robinson at 620-227-8188 or crobinson@boothill.org.
