Couple Strikes Deer in Graham County, Leaves Both with Minor Injuries

Just after 9:30 pm on Friday, July 24th, two people were traveling on US Highway 283 when a deer entered the roadway and their vehicle struck the deer.
A 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by 45-year-old Jeremy Hoard, with passenger 48-year-old Crystal Hoard, both of Hill City, Kansas, was driving Northbound on US Highway 283 around milepost 159. A deer then entered the roadway from the East and the pair struck the deer.
Jeremy was complaining of pain while Crystal had suspected minor injuries. Crystal was taken to the Graham County Hospital. Both were wearing their safety restraints, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol - Online Crash Logs.
