Doran Neil Lorimer

Baalman Mortuary--Doran Neil Lorimer, 94, of Atwood, died Thursday, May 22, 2025. He was born in Atwood, KS on August 26, 1930, to Irving “Dewey” and Laura (Ohlson) Lorimer. Dorn was raised on the family farm near Beardsley, KS and attended country school through the 8th grade. He later took over the farm when his parents retired. Indoor plumbing and telephone service were added in the following years. Doran enjoyed spending his weekends hunting or fishing and loved spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Frona, Mary Ann and Jane; daughter Joan Ahmed; brother Roland Lorimer and sisters, Ruth Payton, Leta Fox and Bette Hackney.

He is survived by his daughter Lavonna Lorimer; granddaughter Zaiba Young and her husband Mike; and great granddaughter Zara.
