Finally! Rain has Fallen; More Projected to Come this Week

After what felt like forever, precipitation has finally hit us here in the high plains. Over the weekend, most of the listening area experienced some sort of weather, including thunderstorms, high winds, possibly hail, but most importantly, rain.

Rain totals from over the weekend varied from as much as one or more inches, to as little as hundredths of inches, but any little bit helps.

The rain over the weekend was nice, but there's a chance for even more throughout the early part of this week.

Rain totals reported by NWKS Radio listeners included:

 Colby KXXX Studio 0.25"

 Oakley 0.73"

 Oberlin 0.60"

7.5 miles north of Ruleton 0.05"

 Near Levant 0.45"

10 miles south of Oakley 0.40"

 West of Gove 0.72"

 St. Francis 0.02"

 Lenora 1.10"

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Goodland, there are great chances for more storms and precipitation through Wednesday. Make sure to tune in to your favorite NWKS Radio stations for any severe weather coverage.
