A total of 219 High Schools in Kansas were recognized by the Kansas Board of Regents for their excellent work in preparing students for post secondary success. Of those 219 schools, five area high schools received this incredible honor.

To be qualified for this recognition, Kansas high schools must be making strides in helping their students prepare for after graduation. The schools had to have hosted three events contributing to post secondary preparedness:

  1. An Apply Kansas application event

  2. A FASFA completion event

  3. A college signing day/senior signing day

If a high schools hosted these events and show continuous support for their students' post secondary goals, they receive the label of All Star High School.

Those area schools recognized by Apply Kansas were:

  • Goodland High School

  • Hoxie High School

  • Wichita County Junior-Senior High School

  • Brewster High School

  • Wallace County High School

Congratulations to these schools on showing support and guidance to students as they navigate the journey that is post secondary life!
