It was another edition of Foundation Friday on the Good Neighbor Hour, and this time, Caitlin Hammond, Executive Director for the Wallace County Foundation, hopped on the show to discuss what they have going on.
Firstly, Hammond talked about their mission and their vision, which is one of the first things you see when you go to their website, shown below.

While talking about it, she related them to what they try to do as a foundation for the local communities.
"We are committed to our future and inspired by our past. We want to see Wallace County thrive for many years to come, and we're all about doing what we can to make that happen."
Next, they discussed grant opportunities that are available. Every month, the foundation has multiple grants that can be applied for and are reviewed to be awarded. These grants can range for many different projects, including community wellness, community beatification, and many other community improving causes.
The next topic of discussion was about their match month they do in December every year. Last year's was pretty incredible, receiving about $94,000 just from donations, leaving a very nice total including the matches.
"With the matches from our partners, which is the Dane G. Hansen Foundation and the Patterson Family Foundation, we were able to bring in about $240,000 for our community which is amazing."
The last topics of conversation included new funds that were created, ways to create a fund, and how to get ahold of the Wallace County Foundation. You can visit their website wallacecountyfoundation.com, call them at 785-734-2412, or visit them in person at 324 North Main Street in Sharon Springs. They are in the office from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
You can listen to the Good Neighbor Hour on Rockit 102.5 KLOE every weekday morning from 5:30-7 am Mountain time.
