Goodland USD 352 Fall Sports Underway and Doing Great!

USD 352 Athletic Director Marty Lehman joined the Good Neighbor Hour on Tuesday morning to discuss how the fall sports season has progressed as they near the halfway point in the season, as well as look ahead a little bit to the winter sports season.

First up was talking about the current fall sports season at the high school. The football team has started with an outstanding 3-0 record under new head coach Dax Ruhs, the volleyball team is currently sitting at a very nice 9-4 record, and the cross country, golf, and tennis teams are also doing fantastic with placings at nearly every tournament or meet they compete at.

Next, Lehman wanted to remind the listeners that Goodland's Homecoming is coming up, with the Homecoming football game against Colby scheduled for October 9th. There will also of course be the pep rally and parade before the game on Friday, with other festivities throughout the week.

Lastly, the discussion moved to winer sports coming up sooner than one might think. One event Lehman wanted to highlight was a large Junior High wrestling tournament that will be hosted in Goodland on October 31st. He also talked about the excitement surrounding the new girl's head basketball coach for the high school.
