Governor Laura Kelly announced on Friday 13 appointments to the following state boards, commissions, committee, and association.
Kansas Volunteer Commission
Purpose: To prepare a national service plan for the state, ensure outreach to diverse community-based agencies, and administer certain grant programs.
Ben Jones, Sterling (reappointment)
Stephanie Kupper, Overland Park (reappointment)
Emily Riner, Lecompton (reappointment)
Ginger Williams, Lenexa (reappointment)
David Battey, Fairway (reappointment)
State Fair Board
Purpose: To act as the showcase of Kansas agriculture, commerce, and industry; to provide for education and entertainment; and to present a comprehensive format that satisfies the needs and desires of people from all walks of Kansas life.

Harmon Bliss, Jetmore (reappointment)
Robert Atkisson, Stockton (reappointment)
Elevator Service Advisory Board
Purpose: To advise the state fire marshal and make recommendations regarding rules and regulations necessary to implement and enforce the provisions of this act.
Jerry Foster, Ottawa
Kansas African American Affairs Commission
Purpose: To devise strategies to address the public policy concerns of the African American community through partnerships with state agencies, corporations, and foundations and to serve as a conduit for programs, grants, research, and policy advice for state and local organizations in addressing concerns that are unique to the African American community in Kansas.
Ricky Bragg, Kansas City
Law Enforcement Memorial Committee
Purpose: To advise the director of architectural services and the secretary of state historical society with regard to memorials to law enforcement officers on the State Capitol ground; to make recommendations to the Governor and Legislature regarding activities commemorating the services of Kansas law enforcement officers; and to solicit grants, gifts, contributions and bequests for the memorial(s).
Joe Sudduth, Olathe
Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns
Purpose: To support the vision that all people with disabilities are entitled to be equal citizens and equal partners in Kansas society.
Ryan Jolly, Lenexa
Kansas State High School Activities Association
Purpose: To regulate, supervise, promote, and develop any of the activities defined in K.S.A. 72-7117. (a) "Activities" means school activities and contests in the fields of athletics, music, forensics, dramatics, and any other interschool extracurricular activities by students enrolled in any of the grades from seven to twelve, inclusive.
