Governor Kelly Directs Flags be Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day

Governor Laura Kelly, in accordance with Executive Order #20-30, on Friday directed flags throughout the State of Kansas be flown at half-staff from sunup to sundown on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in recognition of National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day.

“First responders are the backbone of our communities, working selflessly to keep Kansans safe day-in and day-out,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “On National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day, we recognize Kansas firefighters for their essential work and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our state.”
