Kansas Farm Bureau Awarding Nominees for Mental Health Advocacy

The month of May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and while the month is almost over, mental health struggles almost never stop. Some people go above and beyond in their advocacy for Mental Health Awareness, so to celebrate this, the Kansas Farm Bureau is once again selecting winners for the Rural Minds Matter Advocate of the Year and the Young Advocate of the Year.

One thing that gets overlooked in mental health struggles in farmers and ranchers. Those in the ag field can face unpredictable challenges which can have a real strain on their everyday mental health.

These titles are awarded to people who show dedication to strengthening mental health resources and awareness in rural, farm, and ranch communities.

Winners that are selected will receive $2,000 as well as getting their stories publicized to spread the word of their tremendous impact. Registration opened at the end of April and will continue until July 17th.

Mental health matters, even in the AG industry, so let's recognize those who make a difference! You can find more information about registration for these awards, previous winners, and other helpful resources HERE.
