Kansas Traffic Crash Deaths Down Big from this Time a Year Ago

The Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Department of Transportation, and Drive Safe Kansas has reported a large decrease in traffic deaths from around the same time last year.

They reported, from the beginning of the year to June 2nd, there have been 121 traffic crash related deaths. This number is down 27.98% from the same time last year, which comes out to about 34 less deaths compared to last year's approximate 155 during the same time period.

These numbers are preliminary, so they may change based on trauma and investigation outcomes.

While this decrease is a positive milestone, it can always be lower.

The Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Department of Transportation, and Drive Safe Kansas want to remind you to arrive alive, obey speed limits.
