Tracey Mann Newsletter Recap: April 25

by Derek White

Mann Newsletter Recap:

As Congress reconvenes this week, Rep. Tracey Mann (R–KS) is hitting the ground running in Washington, D.C., combining committee work, district advocacy and constituent outreach to advance an “all‑of‑the‑above” agenda for Kansas families and farmers.

Week Ahead in the House

The U.S. House of Representatives returns to committee hearings and floor votes as the GOP works to implement President Trump’s legislative priorities. On the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, Mann will help mark up a reconciliation package aimed at:

  • Border and National Security Enhancements: Bolstering efforts to secure the southern border and crack down on transnational crime.

  • Regulatory Rollbacks: Repealing Biden‑era Green New Deal mandates and other rules that threaten agriculture, trucking and rural energy producers.

  • Air Traffic Modernization: Investing in upgrades to our nation’s air traffic control system to reduce delays and improve safety.

Later this week, the full House will vote to repeal additional federal regulations—particularly those that would ban gas‑powered vehicles or impose California‑style mandates nationwide—measures Mann argues would drive up costs and limit consumer choice.

Strengthening Kansas Agriculture and Energy

A longtime advocate for biofuels, Rep. Mann celebrated the EPA’s recent summer waiver allowing year‑round E15 gasoline sales. By co‑sponsoring the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act, he’s working to codify permanent, year‑round E15 availability—saving drivers money at the pump while supporting corn growers across Kansas’s First District.

Mann also sat down with KSNT’s Inside Kansas Politics to discuss:

  • Tax Cuts Extension: Ensuring Kansans don’t face a $2,200 average tax increase next year by extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

  • Farm Bill Certainty: Passing a comprehensive five‑year Farm Bill to give rural communities and cooperative utilities the planning certainty they need.

  • Election Integrity: Advancing the SAVE Act to bolster faith in our democratic process and secure the 2026 elections.

Meetings and Momentum

Over the past week, Mann’s office hosted a diverse array of business and civic groups, including:

  • Growth Energy & Land O’Lakes: Discussing ethanol policy and agricultural innovation.

  • Kansas Electric Cooperatives & National Electrical Contractors Association: Exploring rural broadband expansion and infrastructure needs.

  • Healthcare and Education Leaders: From Salina Regional Health to K‑State interns, ensuring Kansas institutions have a voice in federal policy.

He also toured Wichita State University’s cutting‑edge research labs and Textron eAviation’s headquarters, underscoring Kansas’s leadership in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Constituent Services and Capitol Tours

As summer travel approaches, Mann reminds Kansans that his offices in Washington, Manhattan and Dodge City are ready to help with:

  • Tour Requests: U.S. Capitol, White House and Library of Congress visits.

  • Federal Assistance: Passport applications, VA benefits, and flag‑flying certificates.

His team remains committed to serving veterans, families and first‑time Washington visitors alike.

Rep. Tracey Mann’s blend of legislative action, district outreach and constituent support illustrates his commitment to “fighting to make America stronger.” With key votes and committee work on the horizon, Kansans can expect their voice to be heard in the nation’s capital this week.
