Motor Bike Accident Leaves Two Injured in Logan County

Around 6:15 pm on Tuesday, June 16th, a 2025 Harley Davidson Road Glide - Trike, was headed Northbound on U83 in Logan County around mile marker 137, when a strong crosswind caused the bike to cross the center line, drive into the West ditch, travel up the embankment, go through a barbed wire fence and come to a rest.

The driver of the vehicle, 74-year-old Curtis Kooy of Las Animas, Colorado, was taken to Logan County Health Service on suspected serious injury, while the passenger, 64-year-old Katherine Esposito of Phoenix, Arizona, was taken to the same place with suspected minor injuries.
