National Weather Service Office in Goodland Provides Drought Update

More moisture has arrived in the area over the last few weeks, but much of the area is still under some sort of drought status. The National Weather Service Office has provided recent information regarding the drought status of all the counties in their coverage area.

Below are the drought status and the counties which fall under said status.

• Extreme Drought: Red Willow, NE

• Severe Drought: Decatur, Norton, Sheridan, Graham, Cheyenne CO, Greeley, Wichita, Hitchcock

• Moderate Drought: Wallace, Sherman

• Abnormally Dry: Yuma, Kit Carson, Dundy, Cheyenne KS, Rawlins, Logan, Thomas, Gove
