NWS Office in Goodland Provides Drought Conditions Update

Recent moisture in the Northwest part of the sunflower state has picked up recently which has been nice considering the drought conditions throughout the spring and early part of summer. In fact, some of the area has had their drought status improved with the rain.
The National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Goodland has provided an area drought conditions update. Listed below are the drought conditions levels with their correlating counties.
Exceptional Drought: Red Willow
Extreme Drought: Hitchcock
Severe Drought: Decatur, Norton, Sheridan, Graham, Gove, Greeley, Wichita, Cheyenne CO
Moderate Drought: Yuma, Dundy, Rawlins, Thomas, Logan, Cheyenne KS, Wallace
Abnormally Dry: Kit Carson, Sherman
