The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a resurfacing project today, Monday, April 20, along a portion of K-23 in southern Gove County.
Project work includes milling and overlay on approximately 17.5 miles of K-23 from the Lane County line to the south city limits of Gove. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through active work zones and directed by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours. Motorists should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes.
KDOT expects work to be completed in mid-June, conditions permitting.
Bettis Asphalt & Construction, of Topeka, is the primary contractor for the $3.3 million project. For more information, contact KDOT Area Construction Manager Todd Anderson at 785-953-6011 or todd.anderson@ks.gov.
