Semi Overturns on I-70 in Sherman County Thursday Afternoon

A semi-truck overturned Thursday afternoon along Interstate 70 in Sherman County, resulting in minor injuries.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 4:38 p.m. on April 9 near mile marker 30.7, about 13 miles east of Goodland.
Authorities report a 2015 Kenworth semi was traveling westbound when it left the roadway to the right and entered the ditch. The driver continued traveling in the ditch before overcorrecting, causing the semi to overturn and come to rest on its top.
The driver, 58-year-old William Anthony Beechem of Rugby, North Dakota, was transported to Goodland Regional Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
The vehicle and trailer, registered out of Michigan, were removed from the scene by S&M Repair.
It is currently unknown whether the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
