It was the October edition of Tech Talk on the Good Neighbor Hour, so Michael Zimmerman, an Engineering and Technology Instructor at Fort Hays Tech Northwest, joined the show to talk about the Engineering and Technology Department Haunted House coming up later this month.

The Haunted House will open on Friday, October 30th and will stick around the next day as well on Saturday, October 31st, Halloween Night. There will be two different times of operation each day.

The first will be the "Lights On" version of the Haunted House for kids and those who don't want a large scare. This version will go from 5:30-6 pm both nights. The second version is the full scare, full experience Haunted House, which will run from 6-9:30 pm both nights.

One thing to note about the hours of operation, admittance in the queue line will stop at 9 pm each night. Any person in line by 9 pm will get to go through still.

Admission for this experience is $5 or 5 non-perishable food items to donate. All proceeds will go towards Genesis of Sherman County. You can also do a mixture of both a monetary admission and food donation.

The students in the department work the entire month of October to put on this Haunted House, creating props, building the scenes, planning, and many other things that go on behind the scenes, and it's all for a great cause.

Come support the Fort Hays Tech Northwest Haunted House on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st at the Sherman County Fairgrounds Livestock Building in Goodland.
