The "Big Easel" Celebrating 25 Years Looming Over Goodland

If you've ever driven along I-70 in Northwest Kansas, you've probably seen the gigantic easel with a large canvas painting inspired by a Van Goh piece. Well, 2026 marks 25 years of this huge landmark alerting tourists to the city of Goodland.

To celebrate, the creator of the easel, Cameron Cross, visited Goodland to inspect it and find what repairs it may need, as well as partake in a ribbon cutting to commemorate the years that have passed and the many more years to come. You can read more about Cross and his work on his website linked HERE.
