If you’re looking for something to do in Northwest Kansas this week, you’re in luck. From community breakfasts and museum events to weather classes, live music, and a big home show, the region is packed with activities for all ages.
Friday Night Fun
Things kick off Friday evening with a GLOW Paint Party at The Studio at Brittney’s Photography in Goodland, offering a fun painting experience for ages 7 and up.
Meanwhile in Colby, the Pioneer Memorial Library is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special gala from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring live music, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks.
A Busy Saturday
Saturday morning starts early with the American Legion Riders Breakfast Feed in Colby from 7 to 10 a.m. with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns available for a free-will donation.
Outdoor enthusiasts can take part in a Hunter Safety Class in Brewster, while families can celebrate the Pioneer Memorial Library’s 100th birthday during a free family fun day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Thomas County Farmers Market Goodbye Winter Market at The Gathering Place in Colby featuring more than 30 vendors and artisans.
Pie Day at the Prairie Museum of Art and History, where visitors can celebrate 3.14 with delicious pie.
A St. Patrick’s themed breakfast Saturday evening at the Goodland Senior Center.
Sunday Community Events
Sunday brings a St. Mary’s Altar Society Dinner and Raffle in Grinnell from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a free-will offering meal and raffles for both kids and adults.
Learning Opportunities
Weather season is right around the corner, and residents can attend the Thomas County Storm Spotter Training Class Monday evening at the Colby Event Center. The class, hosted by the National Weather Service, helps residents learn how to identify severe weather and report storm conditions.
Wednesday features the Brown Bags and Bibles lunch discussion in Colby and an Amateur Sleuthing event at the Goodland Public Library, where participants can learn crime scene investigation techniques from a Fort Hays Tech instructor.
Looking Ahead to Next Weekend
The following weekend will be especially busy in Colby.
The NWKS Radio Home and Better Living Show returns to the Colby Event Center beginning Friday, March 20 and running through Sunday. The event will feature a gym full of vendors, demonstrations, and ideas to make your home and life better. Admission is free.
