Thomas County Commissioners Lift Burn Ban

On Friday, May 22, around 1 pm, the Thomas County Commissioners have officially lifted the burn ban.

Recent moisture from rain showers and storms have really helped drought conditions throughout the area.

In fact, from Wednesday night to Friday morning, May 20-22, the KXXX studios received over a half inch of rain. Even more came a few days prior during thunderstorms.

Hopefully the wetter weather will keep coming to keep the burn bans away.
