USD 352 Update: BOE Meeting Recap, CTE Building Update, Homecoming Week

It's Homecoming week in the USD 352 Goodland School District, and Superintendent Bill Biermann joined the Good Neighbor Hour to discuss some recent happenings within the district, as well as go over items from their last board of education meeting.
First off was talking about their latest BOE meeting which took place on Monday, September 28th. Items the covered included two presentations, one from new teachers in the district and the other from IT Director Ben Courmerilh, a couple of reports, and a few discussion items.
Those discussion items included delegating a voter for the KASB -- Stacey Price was selected -- and going over capital outlay priorities. A couple of those priorities included bus barn improvements as well as improving hard pavement surfaces and soft playground surfaces outside at the North Elementary School.
The last item Mr. Biermann wanted to mention was that he has submitted his resignation as Superintendent of USD 352. His final day will be in June of this year.
After going through the BOE meeting, Biermann noted a couple updates with the CTE building project. With the rain last week, there were some minor setbacks, but it is still on track to be ready this Spring. They are pouring concrete in the next few days.
Lastly, Biermann highlighted that it is Homecoming Week here in Goodland. There will be festivities all week at the schools, a parade on Friday beginning at 2 pm with a community pep rally to follow, then the football game Friday night vs Colby with kickoff at 6 pm MT.
Lots of great stuff is happening at Goodland USD 352. Listen to the entire interview below!
You can listen to the Good Neighbor Hour on Rockit 102.5 KLOE every weekday morning from 6-7 am MT.
