Late Sunday evening, the Ark City Police Department responded to a physical disturbance in the Northwest part of town. Upon arriving to the scene, law enforcement discovered a woman in her 40s fell victim to multiple stab wounds with some to her neck. She is in stable condition after local emergency medical personnel treated her onsite, then had her air lifted to South Central Medical Center in Wichita.
Police apprehended the suspect at a neighboring residence with no incident. The suspect has been identified as 54-year-old Sean Michael Boydstrom of Ark City.
Law enforcement determined that Boydstrom was in a domestic relationship with the victim, and is currently being held at the Cowley County Jail on charges of Attempted second degree murder and domestic battery. His bond was set at $100,000.
