The 5th annual NWKS Radio Christmas Marketplace is officially in the books — and what a weekend it was! Even with the bitter cold, Northwest Kansas showed up in full holiday spirit at the Colby Event Center, filling the south gym with shoppers, vendors, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
From Friday afternoon through Sunday, steady foot traffic kept the aisles bustling as folks browsed, visited, and walked off their Thanksgiving dinners while supporting more than 65 local businesses, crafters, bakers, and artisans. The energy was upbeat all weekend, and vendors were thrilled to see so many smiley faces coming through the doors.
Shoppers found everything from handmade gifts to home décor, treats, clothing, custom crafts, seasonal specialties, and items you simply can’t get anywhere else. The marketplace once again proved to be a favorite stop for families, friends, and visitors starting their holiday shopping — and it continues to grow year after year.
Saturday brought an extra dose of fun as Colby Community College took on Cowley Community College in the main gym. With free entry to the basketball game, many attendees were able to shop and cheer — making it a full day of community celebration under one roof.
The Christmas Marketplace continues to be a shining example of what makes this region special: neighbors supporting neighbors, small businesses thriving, and holiday traditions that bring people together.
A huge thank-you to all the vendors who set up beautiful booths and to every shopper who braved the cold to make this year such a success. Your support keeps local businesses strong and helps kick off the holiday season in the best way possible.
Here’s to another festive, successful Christmas Marketplace — and to an even bigger one next year! 🎄✨
