August Total Revenue Receipts at $714.7M; 11.5% Above Estimate

The State of Kansas ends August 2026 with total revenue receipts at $714.7 million. That is $73.8 million, or 11.5%, above the estimate. Overall, total tax-only collections were up $66.5 million for August 2026, and up 11.9% from August 2025.

Individual income tax collections were $429.4 million. That is $54.4 million, or 14.5%, above the estimate. Individual income tax collections were up 18.9% from August 2025. Corporate income tax collections were $17.7 million. That is $710,256, or 4.2%, above the estimate.

Combined retail sales and compensating use tax receipts were $307.4 million, which is $7.0 million, or 2.3%, above the estimate, and up 4.5% from August 2025.
