Bridge replacement underway on K-23 in Sheridan County
The Kansas Department of Transportation has started work on a bridge replacement project on K-23 north of Hoxie in Sheridan County.
The bridge spans the North Fork Solomon River and is located approximately 11 miles north of Hoxie. Traffic is reduced to one lane through the work zone and directed by a temporary traffic signal. Minor delays, not exceeding five minutes, are possible. A 10-foot width and 16-foot height restriction is also in place.
KDOT expects work to be completed in November 2026, conditions permitting.
Bridges Inc., of Newton, is the primary contractor with a total contract cost of approximately $3.4 million.
