There is no shortage of things to do across northwest Kansas and eastern Colorado this week as we head into the end of April and kick off May.
The week gets rolling Monday with CCC Baseball taking on McCook at Young Memorial Field. On Tuesday, Colby Community College students will showcase their ideas at the CCC Business Trade Show inside the Bedker Memorial Complex.
Wednesday brings more baseball action as CCC hosts Dodge City, along with a Stag and Stagette meal in Grainfield and a Community Call to Prayer at the Sherman County Fairgrounds in Goodland.
Thursday features the Prairie Fair at the Prairie Museum of Art and History, plus the Hoxie Band and Vocal Concert and Art Show. You can also take part in Game Night in Colby or Puzzle Night at the Goodland Public Library.
Friday is packed with events including the Thomas County Community Foundation Golf Tournament, the Truck Town Truck Show, a ribbon cutting in Goodland for Homesteading On Main, an open house at Kling Law, the Play 315 May Day Carnival in Colby, and opening weekend races at Thomas County Speedway.
Saturday keeps things going with more from the Truck Town Truck Show, a Situational Awareness class at CCC, car shows in Sharon Springs and Goodland, the Great Oasis Cook Off in Colby, and more racing action at the speedway.
Sunday wraps up the weekend with the Pride of the Prairie Orchestra performance in Goodland and Wallace County High School Graduation in Sharon Springs.
Looking ahead to Monday, May 4, the community is invited to meet new USD 315 Superintendent Dr. Kevin Warner at Colby High School.
There is always something happening in our area. For full event details, times, and updates, visit the Area Events Calendar at NWKSRadio.net.
