As Memorial Day approaches, Congressman Tracey Mann is back in Washington and focused on a range of initiatives that honor veterans, strengthen Kansas agriculture, support American manufacturing, and protect rural communities.
This week, Rep. Mann supported several bills in the House that aim to improve services for disabled veterans, streamline VA claims, and expand access to vital resources. “Our veterans deserve our deepest gratitude and the best support possible,” Mann said, adding that he’s praying for families whose loved ones paid the ultimate price for freedom.
In line with President Trump’s agenda, Mann and House Republicans are pushing to prevent tax increases that could hit American families next January. A major step forward came with the advancement of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which includes taxpayer savings and defense investments.
Mann also highlighted his vote in support of a House Agriculture Committee package that invests $60 billion in the farm safety net and updates key programs for livestock biosecurity, crop insurance, and trade promotion. The bill also seeks to restore integrity to the SNAP program by ensuring able-bodied recipients work or volunteer.
Back home, Mann and his wife Audrey expressed concern for the communities in Reno, Kiowa, and Gove counties affected by recent tornadoes. “We’re praying for all those impacted and working to ensure our towns have the resources they need,” he said.
The congressman also marked National Police Week by reaffirming his support for law enforcement. “I unapologetically stand with the men and women in blue,” Mann stated, emphasizing his opposition to any effort to defund or undermine law enforcement.
Mann’s schedule included meetings with national and Kansas-based organizations, such as the National FFA Officers, the Independent Community Bankers Association, and MyLand, a company promoting regenerative agriculture. He also attended Construction on the National Mall to explore the latest in equipment and engineering from major manufacturers like John Deere and Caterpillar.
With summer approaching, Mann reminds Kansans that his offices are ready to assist with federal services—from VA benefits to planning visits to Washington, D.C. “Whether it’s booking a Capitol tour or resolving issues with federal agencies, my team is here to help,” Mann concluded.
