David Alan Dorn, age 65, of Goodland, passed away on May 22nd, 2026, at home. He was born on December 30, 1960, in Greeley, Colorado, to Daniel J. and Laura B. (Pafford) Dorn, Sr. He was one of four children. David married Dee Dorn (Riegel) on November 3, 1979, at the Goodland Methodist Church. Farming was his life’s work. Over the years, he worked for various local farmers, cared for his own land, and spent the last 38 years with Gustch Farms and L & D Farms of Goodland. He faithfully served as a NWKS District Free Fair board member for more than 25 years and was an avid hunter who cherished time outdoors with family and friends.

David Dorn was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated his life to farming, always working hard to provide for those around him and ensuring everyone was cared for. More than anything, David made sure his loved ones knew how proud he was of them. If you had the chance to know David, you would know that nothing in this world meant more to him than his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous heart, quiet strength, devotion to his family, and his unwavering love for Izzy (Dee).

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, Diana Dorn, two brothers, Daniel Dorn, Jr., and Donald Lee Dorn. Surviving family members include his wife, Dee, of Goodland. He is also survived by one daughter, Jessica (Jeff) Dinkel of Goodland, Kansas, three sons: Michael (Cortney) Dorn of Goodland, Kansas, Chris (Crystal) Dorn of La Crosse, Kansas, and Josh (Delanie) Dorn of Goodland.
