Terrence Lee Dreiling

Apr 12, 1952 — Oct 19, 2026

Sharon Springs, Kansas

Terrence Lee (Terry) Dreiling was born April 12th, 1952 to Ray Dreiling and Theresa (Urban) Dreiling. He was the youngest of seven children, and had an active childhood on the farm in western Kansas. He was a proud 1970 graduate of Wallace County High School and could often be found cheering on the Wildcats at their home football games.

In 1973, Terry married Ginger (Armstrong) Dreiling and they welcomed three children: Nichol, Desirae (stillborn), and DelRay. In these years, Terry’s hobbies included fishing and playing cards, and shooting pool. Terry appreciated the simple things in life, and was happiest at casual gatherings spending quality time with his family and lifelong friends.

Terry spent his Monday’s playing pitch and was a staple in the afternoons at Hennick’s Lumber where he reminisced about racing cars and other youthful adventures over cups of black coffee. Anyone who spent time with Terry knew that he had an infectious laugh that will be missed.

Terry passed away on October 19th, 2026 after a short battle with an aggressive form of lung cancer.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Teresa Dreiling, siblings Raymond Dreiling (and wife Loretta), Irene Martin (and husband Raymond), Harold Dreiling (and wife Shirely), brothers-in-law Larry Wilkinson and Wayne Spence, and daughter Desirae Marie Dreiling.

He is survived by his daughter Nichol (Aaron) Homburg of Marion, son DelRay Dreiling of Overland Park, grandchildren KaiLee (Connor) Medlen of New Strawn, Joseph (Savana) Raat of Abilene, August Homburg of Marion, Terran (Taylor) Stramel of Winona, and great-grandchildren Emma Raat, Eli Raat, MonRoe Medlen, and Baby Stramel (March 2027).
