Fort Hays Tech | Northwest has been awarded funds by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to train individuals and communities on how to recognize and safely respond to mental health crises.
“This funding will make a meaningful impact for our students and the communities we serve,” said President Corey Isbell. “This investment represents an important step forward in how we support our students and community.”
Through this three-year grant, the College will build a mental health awareness, crisis response, and referral network. The College will provide training, education, and resources to students, with broader reach into schools, healthcare organizations, emergency-response agencies, and community settings.
