Four People Injured During Collision in Decatur County

Just before 11:30 am on Tuesday, September 15th, two vehicles were involved in a collision that injured four people, two of which had serious injuries.


At the intersection of U36 and U83, a 2021 Starcraft ST93109, driven by 67-year-old Audra Solko of Oberlin, Kansas, was headed Southbound from a private drive, while a 2014 Nissan NV3500, driven by 45-year-old Adam Rupp of Morton, Illinois, was headed Westbound on U36.


The Starcraft failed to yield to the Nissan and was struck in the intersection. Both drivers of the vehicle came away with serious injuries. Both vehicles also had one passenger each who had suspected minor injuries. Solko was taken to Nebraska Medical Center while everyone else was taken to Decatur County Hospital.


Neither the driver nor passenger in the Starcraft were wearing a safety restraint, while both driver and passenger in the Nissan was wearing a safety restraint.
