Good morning, neighbors! It’s Kristina here, and I’m excited to share a sweet event happening this Friday night (September 27) at Chambers Park in Goodland. Join us for the **Battle of the Badges: The Lemonade Stand Edition!**

I had a chat with Chief Erhart from the Goodland Police Department to get the scoop on this fun competition. So, who’s going to take home the win? Chief Erhart confidently declared, “Of course, law enforcement will win!” Sounds like there’s some friendly rivalry in the air!

Who’s Competing?

The Goodland Police Department and Sheriff's Department will be going head-to-head with our brave EMS and fire departments. Talk about an epic showdown!

Freshly Squeezed Lemonade

And yes, they’re making their own lemonade! Chief Erhart shared that his amazing administrative assistant will be squeezing fresh lemons for the occasion. No store-bought stuff here—only the best for our community!

Free Lemonade for a Good Cause

Now, here’s the best part: the lemonade is FREE! Yes, you heard that right! They’ll have donation jars set up, and every single penny raised will go to help support local school lunch programs. It’s a fantastic way to help kids in need while enjoying a refreshing drink.

What’s at Stake?

So, what’s the prize for the winning team? Bragging rights, of course! But they’re also considering a trophy, maybe even something fun like a fake lemonade trophy. It sounds like they want to make this an annual event, benefiting various causes each year.
