Governor Kelly Directs Flags be Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Representative Dan Goddard

In accordance with Executive Order #20-30, Governor Laura Kelly has directed flags throughout the State of Kansas remain at half-staff after sundown today, November 2, 2026, in honor of Representative Dan Goddard. Flags are to remain at half-staff until the day of internment, which will be announced at a later date.

Flags are currently at half-staff until sundown today, November 2, 2026, in honor of farm workers’ rights leader Dolores Huerta.

“Representative Goddard was a true public servant, serving 24 years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot, then working to support economic development at closed military bases, and eventually serving in both the Kansas Senate and the Kansas House,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “My thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
