Wallace County, KS — Emergency crews responded Wednesday morning to an injury crash on U.S. Highway 40, approximately 1.3 miles east of 30 Road. The Kansas Highway Patrol was dispatched at 8:15 AM to the scene.

According to the KHP crash report, a 2015 Ford F-350, driven by 23-year-old Kaden Montgomery Day of Kendall, Kansas, was traveling eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway to the right. Day then corrected back onto the highway, but the truck crossed over the road, left the roadway to the left, and overturned, coming to rest upside-down in the north ditch, facing southwest.

The attached 2019 CWCF trailer became detached during the crash and came to rest upright on top of the overturned truck, facing east.

Day suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported by emergency personnel to Logan County Hospital.
