Multiple Cowboys & Eagles Land on All-GWAC Football Teams

The 2025 GWAC All-League football teams were released earlier this week. Both Colby & Goodland had five players each honored.

Colby's Cody Wright was named a first-team all-purpose player & kick returner as well as an honorable mention linebacker. Wideout Nathan Cates, lineman McCager Wright & punter Jadyn Sporing were all second-team selections. Talon Wark was named an honorable mention linebacker as well for the Eagles, who finished the season 3-6 overall with a first-round playoff loss to Holcomb.

Goodland's Braylon Mull earned first-team wideout and defensive back honors. Gavin Price also got two first-team selections as a lineman and linebacker. Jaron Smades was named a first-team defensive lineman. Chayton Goodwin was a second-team running back and kick returner. Joseph Von Lintel was named an honorable mention punter for the Cowboys, who finished the year 2-7 overall and lost to Clearwater in a non-playoff game.
