UPDATE: Oakley Cancels School Due to Small Fire in Laundry Room

The Oakley USD 274 Facebook page announced that school had to be cancelled Thursday, October 1st, due to a small fire in the laundry room adjacent to the cafeteria. While it seems that damage is minimal, inspections needed to be done before students could be let in the school again.

There were also no injuries reported. The fire marshal and an electrician now need to inspect the area to confirm it is safe. More updates will be provided as they are released.
