Rawlins County USD 105 to Receive $5,000 from T-Mobile Competition; Moving on to Next Round

This fall, USD 105 Rawlins County, along with many other schools in Kansas, entered into the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights sweepstakes competition. This competition is dedicated to providing funds to schools who show a large amount of support on social media. The final grand prize is $1 million to put towards the renovation of a school's football field.

Along with the grand prize, there are 1000 schools who receive smaller prizes of $5,000 just for entering the competition. One of those schools throughout the entire nation was USD 105 Rawlins County.

They announced on their Facebook page on Friday, September 25th morning that they received the funding and will continue further into the competition. You can view that post below.

The next milestone for Rawlins County schools is making it into the division finalists stage.

There will be 10 schools selected throughout the whole nation from each division (East, West, Midwest, and South) for a total of 40 division finalists. Those finalists will each receive $25,000, a T-Mobile Home Game Celebration, and a chance to be voted farther into the competition.

After that, the top school receiving the most votes from each division will move on,

winning an additional $250,000, a new gym, as well as a Student Leadership Award worth $5,000.

Once those four division finalists are announced, the votes will determine the ultimate winner to receive $1 million to go towards a football field rennovation and more.
