Rock the Block Party: Tracy’s Backyard Becomes the Hottest Spot in Goodland

ree

NWKS Radio’s 2025 Rock the Block summer promotion ended with a bang last night as winner Tracy hosted the ultimate block party right in his own backyard. What started as a gorgeous fall evening in Goodland turned into a night full of laughter, music, and memories that neighbors and friends won’t soon forget.

A Backyard Turned Festival Ground 🌸🎉

Tracy’s home was the perfect setup for the party—big yard, beautiful flowers, plenty of space for games, food, and fun. NWKS Radio rolled in with the Rolling Radio, fired up RockIt 102.5, and set the mood with music and yard games. Kids ran through the yard chasing bubbles, guests played cornhole, and the smell of grilled brats filled the air.

The brats, from Goodland's Black Hyde Beef, were cooked up by NWKS Radio’s General Manager Chad Jones himself. With chips, water, and Tracy’s friends and family's side dishes and desserts, there was no shortage of food—or smiles. Tracy even made sure the little guests felt included, treating them to cheese pizza.

Partying With Prizes 🏡🔥

As if a backyard party wasn’t enough, Tracy’s winnings made the evening even more special. Throughout the night, guests lounged on his brand-new patio set from Hoover Lumber, used the Big Dog cooler and chairs from Goodland and Colby Automotive, and kept the music going on after the Rolling Radio left on a Bluetooth speaker from Nex-Tech Wireless. The Pit Boss Grill from S&W Supply got its first big test—and passed with flying colors!

And the best part? Tracy still has a brand-new hot tub from Paradise Spas and electric work from Lohr Electric on the way. The entire prize package, worth over $10,000, had everyone in awe and maybe a little jealous.

A Natural Host 🎤

After the meal, NWKS Radio’s Kristina grabbed the mic to share the story of Rock the Block—a summer-long contest where listeners earned entries by playing challenges on the Eventzee app. Tracy, one of the five finalists drawn on September 3, ended up with the grand prize.

When Tracy took the mic, his nerves melted away and his gratitude poured out. He thanked his friends, family, and co-workers for coming out, then got a little emotional as he thanked NWKS Radio and all the sponsors who made the event possible. His message was simple: “Play the contests that NWKS Radio has because you could win. I did!”

A Community Celebration 🎶

Even after the Rolling Radio packed up, the party kept rolling. Neighbors, co-workers, family, and even friends who traveled in from eastern Kansas stayed to enjoy the warm evening together. The laughter, music, and conversation carried late into the evening—just the kind of memory Rock the Block was meant to create.
