Ronald Kevin Rempe

December 3, 1958 - February 4, 2026


Longtime Goodland resident Ronald Kevin Rempe passed away Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Leisure Homestead Association in Stafford, Kansas, where he had been a resident for the last ten years. He was 67.


Ron was a 1977 graduate of Goodland High School and had worked for several businesses in Goodland over the years, and was best known as a radio announcer starting on KLOE AM in the late 70’s and 80’s and also on KKCI radio in the 90’s.


Ron loved the music of the late 70’s and 80’s, and was an avid antique collector, especially from the 1950’s.


Ron Rempe was preceded in death by his parents Herb and Alice Rempe of Goodland; Sisters Marilyn Fromm, formerly of Goodland and Sue Hicks and husband Jim from Syracuse, Kansas, brother Herb Rempe JR formerly of Goodland, and brother in law Dave Harnly from Lincoln, Nebraska.


Ron is survived and dearly loved by sisters Patty Harnly, Lincoln, Nebraska; Kathy Melia and husband Marty, Goodland and Laura Wedermyer and husband Dave, Olathe, Kansas and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces


Whether you got a taste of Ron’s scrumptious divinity, received a cassette that contained favorite tunes or shared a martini , we all have special memories of a man with a keen sense of humor, a caring heart, an endless curiosity for history and treasures and a deep love for his family.


A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.


Memorials in Ron’s name may be made to the Goodland Public Library, and may be sent to Koons-Russell Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Ave., Goodland, KS 67735.
