"Some Girls and a Mural" Creating Lasting Pieces in Goodland

For residents living in Goodland, you may have noticed a few new murals being painted around town, three to be exact. These murals are very impressive and leave a lasting mark for visitors and residents alike to enjoy. But where did they come from and who made them?
Some Girls and a Mural, a business owned by Audrey Sayles and Staci Beauford, was started eight years ago in 2018, when the Mayor of Limon, Colorado asked these two to create a mural for their town. After completing it, many people loved it and asked if they could do more, hence the business began.
To date, they have done more than 170 total murals in the area, three of which in Goodland, and one being in Edson on a private property for a family. These murals range in size, colors, and meaning.

The first mural done in Goodland is on the Goodland public library which was put up last spring. DESCRIBE THE MURAL.
The second mural they did in Goodland is on the side of the Hallmark store on Main Street. This depiction was dedicated to veterans of our country and the sacrifice they made to protect our freedoms. DESCRIBE

Lastly and most recently, Audrey and Staci completed a mural on the side of the High Plains Museum building facing Cherry Street. Full of vibrant colors and excellent pictures, it depicts huge moments in history, including steam engines, pioneers in a covered wagon, and of course wheat.

Right now, they are out of painting season, but it is the perfect time to get with them about projects and ideas. To get in contact with them and to find more of their work, visit their website at somegirlsandamural.com.
