Suspected Human Remains Report Made in Burlington, CO

BURLINGTON PD PRESS RELEASE: On Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, at approximately 2:50 PM the Burlington Police Department responded to a property in the northern portion of Burlington in reference to suspected human remains in a secluded portion of the industrial park. Burlington Police Department notified the Kit Carson County Coroner's Office, 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office, and Colorado Bureau of Investigation to request CBI's assistance with the investigation and scene processing. We are in the early stages of the investigation. Identification will be released at a later date pending further investigation and notification to next of kin. We do not have any reported missing persons cases open that we believe this may be associated with. Further questions can be directed to the 13th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
