Teen Seriously Injured in Phillips County Rollover Crash

A 15-year-old Logan girl was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Phillips County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:38 p.m. October 6 on West 1200 Lane, just south of West Zenith Road, or just south of Logan.

A 2009 Buick Enclave was traveling northbound on West 1200 Lane when, for an unknown reason, it left the roadway. The vehicle entered the west ditch, where it struck a fence post, a guide wire and a power pole before overturning an unknown number of times.

The driver, identified as 15-year-old Coda J. Ashmore of Logan, was transported to Norton County Hospital with suspected serious injuries. The crash log indicates she was wearing a safety restraint.
