A Texas man was injured early Monday morning in a rollover crash on K-27 in Wallace County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:04 a.m. on October 20, 2025, approximately 13 miles north of Sharon Springs.
The KHP report states that a 2007 Dodge pickup, driven by 20-year-old Chance E. Collins of Amarillo, Texas, was traveling north on K-27 when Collins felt he had struck something in the road. He then lost control of the vehicle, which veered into the west ditch.
The truck struck a field access and went airborne, rolling end over end once before coming to rest on its roof in the west ditch, facing southwest.
Collins sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Goodland Regional Medical Center for treatment. The report notes that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle, insured by State Farm, was towed from the scene by S&M Repair, and the accident was investigated by Trooper K142Â of the Kansas Highway Patrol.
