U.S. 283 railroad crossing to close for repairs in WaKeeney

The Union Pacific Railroad crossing on U.S. 283 in WaKeeney is scheduled to close for repairs March 21-23.

U.S. 283 will be closed at the crossing. Through traffic will be detoured on I-70, K-23 and U.S. 24. Union Pacific and its traffic control subcontractor will oversee the crossing repairs and detour signing.

Local access will remain available for residents and businesses on U.S. 283 up to the crossing.
